Fairway Family. "Family" is a term you hear often when teams describe their culture, and for the Gamecock Women's Golf team, it's no different. You don't go to 24 straight NCAA Regionals without a tight-knit team and having a coach who is in her 16th season doesn't hurt, either.

Ride along with us as we head to Hilton Head Island and bring you a backstage pass to the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.

β€‹πŸ”Ό Taking Advantage. Gamecock transfer Caleb Denny made his mark on the Auburn series last weekend. As the Gamecocks battle through a series of injuries, new faces have a chance to shine, and Denny is making the most of that opportunity.

The former Oral Roberts player finished last weekend with seven hits, two walks, one strikeout, and two RBI across nine appearances at the plate.

"My swing’s felt really good for about a week," Denny said after the series. "I was ready to get that opportunity. Whenever I did I knew I was going to be ready.”

β€‹πŸ”Ό Midweek Winners. South Carolina baseball picked up a midweek road win over Winthrop last night. Ethan Petry crushed his 21st homer of the season, Will Tippett followed up his first career homer on Sunday with his second yesterday, and Cole Messina and Jonathan French also went yard to propel the team to the 6-1 win.

A three-game road SEC series against Kentucky opens on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET.

β€‹πŸ”Ό Ambush Whatever Comes. If you ever wondered what Cole Messina thinks about while he's standing in the batter's box, now's your chance to find out! He's sharing the big and little things that run through his mind each time he steps up to the plate in the Garnet & Black.

β€‹πŸ”Ό Coming Home. Coach Beamer didn't mince words this week when it came to sharing how he felt about hiring Travian Robertson to coach South Carolina's defensive line.

Meanwhile, Robertson said he was cooking dinner when Coach Beamer called...and it may have taken him a little longer than usual to finish making the meal.

β€‹πŸ”Ό On The Court. After the NCAA team championships wrap up, a handful of men's and women's Gamecock tennis players will head to the NCAA Singles and Doubles tournaments!

Toby Samuel and Connor Thomson both earned at-large bids to the singles competition and will also take on the doubles competition as the top-ranked duo.

On the women's side, Ayana Akli and Sarah Hamner will both compete in the singles tournament and will serve as an alternate duo for the doubles competition. Both the men's and women's singles and doubles tournaments get underway later this month.
