Good morning. University of South Carolina head football coach Shane Beamer and newcomers representing the 2024 squad will be introduced at halftime of the men’s basketball game versus Missouri on Saturday, January 27.
Coach Beamer will address the crowd, and many of the 2024 signing class and portal transfers will be recognized during the intermission.
The basketball game will tip at 1pm ET at Colonial Life Arena and will be televised on SEC Network, with tickets available here.

🔼 New Ranking, Who Dis? The SEC announced the men’s tennis coaches’ preseason poll on Thursday, with South Carolina picked to finish atop the league, a first for the Gamecocks.
South Carolina will begin its season as the No. 5 team in the ITA Division I rankings after returning six members of the squad who reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships last season.
The preseason poll is voted on by the men’s tennis head coach at each SEC institution.
No. 5 South Carolina will begin its dual season on Sun., Jan. 21, with a road match at No. 1 Virginia. The SEC season will begin on March 1st in Columbia when the Gamecocks take on LSU.
🔼 Oh, To Be Young. South Carolina women’s soccer will see the addition of Anna Young this spring.
A transfer from Kentucky, Young started in all 19 matches of the Wildcats’ 2023 campaign, leading all field players in total minutes at 1,659. The senior had a career-high three shots on goal, logged an assist against fellow SEC rival Tennessee, was a team captain, and was named to the SEC Preseason Watchlist.
In the classroom, Young was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and was a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member.
🔼 It’s All About Balance. South Carolina Track & Field will compete in a pair of meets this weekend, hosting the Carolina Challenge while competing in the Track @ New Balance Collegiate Showdown in Boston, Mass.
