🔺 Walked The Dawgs. The third-ranked women’s basketball team won its 20th straight game over Georgia, beating the Bulldogs 65-43. Joyce Edwards scored 14 points to co-lead the Gamecocks. Madina Okot also scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. The Gamecocks will host No. 2 Texas on Thursday.

🔺 Sweet 16. South Carolina track & field opened the year with 16 wins and two program records at the Gamecock Opener! The men’s team secured nine wins, including Tyson Williams’ program record in the 300m and wins in the triple jump, pole vault, and shot put. The women’s team won seven events, highlighted by Jathiyah Muhammad’s pole vault record and a 1-2-3 finish in the 200m, led by JaMeesia Ford.

🔺 Win Secured. The Gamecock women’s swimming & diving team concluded the home slate with a 196-98 win over Virginia Tech on Saturday. Notable performances included Breckin Gormley’s wins in the 1000 and 500 freestyle, Amy Riordan’s victories in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke, and Sophie Verzyl’s sweeps in both diving events.

🔺 Fell Short. Gamecock men’s basketball fell to No. 18 Georgia 75-70 on Saturday. The Bulldogs rallied from eight points down with less than nine minutes left to ultimately secure the win. Mike Sharavjamts scored 18 points to lead South Carolina. Kobe Knox recorded a double-double with 10 points and rebounds. The Gamecocks will play at No. 15 Arkansas on Wednesday.
