🔺 Music City Showdown. The men’s basketball team looks to get back to its winning ways tonight at Vanderbilt! Tip-off in Music City is set for 6 p.m. on SEC Network. The Gamecocks came close to beating this week’s top-ranked Auburn on Saturday. The last time the Gamecocks played at Memorial Gym was Lamont Paris’ first SEC opener in 2023.

🔺 Team Wins. The women’s basketball team was named the USBWA Team of the Week for the second time this season! The Gamecocks beat last week’s opponents by an average of 29.0 points, extending their SEC-record conference regular-season win streak to 51. Four Gamecocks averaged double figures last week with Joyce Edwards leading the way.

🔺 Keep ‘Em Coming. This week’s SEC Women’s Runner of the Week is our very own JaMeesia Ford! She ran a world-leading 36.48 in the 300m at the Gamecock Opener over the weekend. She capped off the weekend as the anchor in the women’s 4×400m, leading the Gamecocks to a 3:35.58 time for the win. It was the fourth-fastest time in the NCAA this season.

🔺 Rookie Rewards. South Carolina placed a school-record three players on the Football Writers of America 2024 Freshman All-America team! Quarterback LaNorris Sellers, offensive lineman Josiah Thompson, and defensive lineman Dylan Stewart earned spots on the squad.

🔺 Dinner With The Gamecocks. This year’s First Pitch Banquet is set for February 8 at 6 p.m. at Seawell’s! There will be dinner by Seawell’s, a silent auction, and an exclusive signing opportunity with Gamecock baseball players.
