A true Gamecock, Branden Conrad embodies what it means to "bleed Garnet & Black." A member of the USC basketball team from 2006-2009, Branden not only guarded the likes of Tre' Kelly and Devan Downey every day in practice, but also carved out a role in the lineup on his way to helping secure an SEC Eastern Division title.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Snapping Streaks. No. 2 Gamecock women’s basketball snapped No. 5 Vanderbilt’s undefeated start to the season, winning 103-74. Ta’Niya Latson scored 21 points while Tessa Johnson added 20. The Gamecock defense forced 16 turnovers in the first half alone. South Carolina will play at Auburn on Thursday.

🔺 Brought The Heat. The Gamecock track & field team had a successful outing at the Orange & Purple Invitational. They achieved 30 personal bests, 19 top 10 program marks, eight wins, and three program records. The women’s team won five events, and Jade Buridon set a new program record in the women’s 1000m race. The men’s team also performed great, with Jaouad Khchina setting a new program record in the men’s 1000m, and Tyson Williams winning the men’s 200m with the fastest time in the country.

🔺 No Losses Here. The South Carolina women’s swimming and diving team beat Georgia Tech 197-102, finishing the dual season undefeated. A select group of Gamecocks will compete at the UVA Cavalier Invitational from Feb. 5-7.

🔺 Fell Short. Gamecock men’s basketball fell to Texas A&M 92-63 on the road. Meechie Johnson scored 26 points, making all 10 of his free throw attempts. Kobe Knox matched his season-high with 18 points. The Gamecocks will host No. 16 Florida on Wednesday.
