🔺 Feels Like Home. Gamecock softball’s Tate Davis, a sophomore infielder, transferred to South Carolina from Ole Miss, drawn by the culture and her connection to associate head coach Katie Browder. Davis values the supportive and welcoming environment at South Carolina, where she has grown in her faith and feels like part of a family. She credits her parents for her athletic background and mental toughness, and is excited about the potential of her new team.
“I do love to hit. That’s my passion. I’m a competitor. I don’t like to lose.”

🔺 Listen Up. Gamecock baseball coach Paul Mainieri met with the media last week to preview the 2026 season. Coach Mainieri also discussed the offseason, his relation to Heisman quarterback Fernando Mendoza, and much more. Click here to watch the press conference.
