The Story: The Stage is Yours (S.3 Ep.4) - When opportunity knocks, you better be ready. Gerald Kilgore's journey from high school quarterback to SEC defensive back was a winding road, but the redshirt junior has made the most of every snap.
📈 STOCK UP
🔺 On To The Next. Gamecock football fell at No. 11 LSU, 20-10, despite a strong defensive effort. DQ Smith and Peyton Williams picked off LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. Monkell Goodwine forced two fumbles in the game, with one resulting in a Gamecock touchdown just a few plays later. South Carolina will host Oklahoma on Saturday.
🔺 Hang 10. The Gamecock women’s swim and dive team defeated Arkansas 182-118 on the road! South Carolina claimed 10 individual event wins. Sophie Verzyl won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives for the second time this season.
“Fantastic meet for our women today. It’s been quite a week with the meet against Georgia on Wednesday, followed by a flight out to Fayetteville to compete against Arkansas this morning. I’m really proud of the way that the women handled themselves and the rigors of the week to put together two consecutive great performances.”
🔺 Handled The Hogs. South Carolina volleyball picked up its first SEC win of the season! The Gamecocks beat Arkansas 3-1 on the road. They put up 12 blocks for the second-straight match, with Emily Beeker accounting for nine. The Gamecocks will host Mississippi State on Friday.
🔺 Back At It. South Carolina men’s golf will compete in The Bryson Invitational at Daniel Island Club. They’ll go up against a strong field that includes No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 12 BYU, and No. 21 Wake Forest. The lineup features Frankie Harris, Zach Adams, Marek Fleming, Talan Harrison, and August Petersson.
