The Story: The Stage is Yours (S.3 Ep.4) - When opportunity knocks, you better be ready. Gerald Kilgore's journey from high school quarterback to SEC defensive back was a winding road, but the redshirt junior has made the most of every snap.

🔺 Talking Season. The Gamecocks take on SEC Tipoff today in Birmingham, Alabama! Women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley will speak in the main media room at 12:50 p.m., then at the SEC Now desk at 2:05 p.m. She will be joined by Ta’Niya Latson, Tessa Johnson, and Joyce Edwards.

Men’s basketball head coach Lamont Paris will take the main stage at 1:50 p.m., followed by Meechie Johnson, Mike Sharavjamts, and Myles Stute. Follow all things SEC Tipoff on the SEC Network!

🔺 Madness Awaits. South Carolina men’s and women’s basketball present GarNET and Black Madness at Colonial Life Arena on Oct. 21 from 7-9 p.m. The free fan event will include fan games, team competitions, and a performance from rapper Waka Flocka Flame! Click here to claim your free ticket.

🔺 On Repeat. The SEC media voted Gamecock women’s basketball to repeat as SEC Regular-Season Champions! Joyce Edwards was named Preseason All-SEC First Team, while Ta’Niya Latson earned a spot on the second team. Edwards was South Carolina’s top scorer last season with 12.7 points per game. Latson will make her SEC debut this season after being last season’s top scorer in the nation at 25.2 points per game.

🔺 Great 8. Gamecock punter Mason Love has been named to this week’s Ray’s Great 8 by the Ray Guy Award! He averaged 41.8 yards on four punts at LSU, with all four pinning the Tigers inside their 20-yard line.

🔺 Players Of The Century. Two former Gamecocks are considered two of the best at South Carolina and this century! Michael Roth and Matt Price were named to D1Baseball’s All-Quarter Century Team.
