🏀 SEC TIP-OFF

South Carolina’s basketball teams took on the SEC Basketball Tip-Off yesterday! Check out some of the action:

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Catching Eyes. Gamecock edge rusher Dylan Stewart has been added to the 2025 Lombardi Award Midseason Watch List! The list features 65 of the nation’s top linemen and linebackers. Stewart is tied for third on the team with 27 tackles. He leads the Gamecocks with 9.0 tackles for list, tying for 10th in the nation.

🔺 Hall Of Fame Highlight. Former South Carolina All-American sprinter Natasha Hastings, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, transitioned to a career as a clinical mental health provider. She now works with student-athletes at her alma mater, focusing on mental health and performance. Hastings will be inducted into the University of South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame next week. She was a 10-time All-American and three-time NCAA Champion for the Gamecocks. Read more about Natasha Hastings. 

🔺 Game Time. The South Carolina Gamecocks will host the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. Alabama leads the all-time series 14-3 and won last year’s matchup 27-25.

🔺 Out For Season. South Carolina women’s basketball player Chloe Kitts will miss the 2025-26 season due to a torn ACL. She contributed significantly to the team’s success, including back-to-back national title game appearances.

Her teammates are capable of stepping up, and I know that her competitive fire and tenacity will be felt from the sidelines as she pours what she can into them to ensure our team’s success.”
