🔺 Top Of The Mountain. The women’s basketball team was ranked No. 1 in the AP Preseason Top 25 for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The Gamecocks return nine letter winners from last season’s national championship-winning team. They led the nation in scoring defense, scoring margin, and blocked shots per game.

🔺 Talkin’ Season. Men’s basketball players Collin Murray-Boyles and Nick Pringle joined head coach Lamont Paris at SEC Media Days yesterday! We have everything you need to see below:

🔺 Garnet, Black, & Silver. The men’s golf team finished in second-place at the Everett Buick GMC Classic in Arkansas. The Gamecocks shot 12-under through three rounds. Brock Blais led the team, tying for eighth for his first career top-10 finish. South Carolina led the field with 62 birdies.

🔺 Feeling Lucky. Former Gamecock track star Bob Kaczka will be inducted into the Association of Letterman’s Athletics Hall of Fame this year. He says that it was pure luck that brought the New Jersey native down south. Coach Weems Baskin was at his state championship meet and offered him a scholarship after the race. Kaczka ran middle-distance events, winning ACC titles and All-America honors.
