Tailgate Talks: Alyssa Lang — She might be the queen of the SEC Network now, but she’s a Gamecock first and foremost! From USC’s J-School to the sidelines of the biggest venues in sports, Alyssa Lang has become a star in the broadcasting world. Amidst the madness of her fall schedule, she found time to join the tailgate to discuss her wild journey to the big stage.

🔺 Afternoon Football. The Gamecocks are back at home! South Carolina football will host No. 14 Oklahoma tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. on the SEC Network. With the South Carolina State Fair in town, we encourage everyone to plan ahead as traffic patterns will be different. Gamecock Village presented by Farm Bureau Insurance opens at 8:15 a.m.

🔺 Fall Festival. The Junior Gamecock Club Fall Festival is this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Founders Park! The event is free for all Junior Gamecock members. The festival will be filled with activities for the whole family, including carnival-style games, a festive photo booth, a Gamecock dunk tank, prizes, and much more. 🔺 One More Time. South Carolina cross country will compete in the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, marking their first 6K of the season. The final regular season meet will begin at 10:20 a.m. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 26 in the USTFCCCA Poll.

🔺 Fell Short. Gamecock women’s soccer experienced their first SEC loss at Kentucky last night, falling 3-2. Kentucky started the scoring early and Gamecocks Mackenzie Johnson and Cuyler Zulauf closed it out. The Gamecocks will host Texas A&M on Sunday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.

🔺 Pink Out. Gamecock volleyball returns home tonight! They’ll host Mississippi State at 7 p.m. in the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Out game. The first 350 students will receive a free pink t-shirt and the first 250 fans will get pink rally towels. They’ll also host Alabama on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will stream on SEC Network+.

🔺 Boot Up. The second-ranked Gamecock equestrian team will host Texas A&M today at 11 a.m. at One Wood Farm. Ariat will be giving away hats and a $300 boot raffle! You won’t want to miss this meet!

🏆 HALL OF FAME HIGHLIGHT

Former Gamecock men’s tennis star Paul Jubb is being inducted into the University of South Carolina Association of Lettermen’s Athletics Hall of Fame. Jubb, who played for the Gamecocks from 2016 to 2020, won the 2019 NCAA Singles National Championship and earned numerous accolades during his college career. He is now living his dream as a professional tennis player, traveling the world and competing in tournaments.
