📈 STOCK UP
🔺 No Love In Oklahoma. South Carolina’s defense brought the boom to Oklahoma! The Gamecocks defeated the Sooners 35-9 on Saturday. The Gamecock defense was the shining star, forcing four turnovers and scoring two touchdowns. LaNorris Sellers threw for 175 yards and a touchdown to Joshua Simon.
🔺 Fun For All. Gamecock volleyball followed suit and took down Oklahoma on Sunday. South Carolina battled back to overcome an early deficit and got the 3-1 win. Riley Whitesides led the Gamecocks with 19 kills. They’ll continue their home stand on Sunday when they host Auburn.
🔺 Keep On Rollin’. The women’s soccer team took down Alabama 3-1 on Friday night. Freshman Katie Shea Collins recorded a brace with two goals, while Cuyler Zulauf scored the third. Cat Barry’s three assists tied the program record for the most in a game. Goalkeeper Tina Tsaousis recorded five saves, tying for her most this season in SEC play.
🔺 Regular Season Finale. The cross country team competed in two events over the weekend to wrap up the regular season. Some of the team raced at the Crimson Classic, where they finished in third-place. Teresa Cherotich led the Gamecocks with a fifth-place finish.
Six Gamecocks competed at the Upstate Invite on Saturday, where the team finished in fifth-place. Ella Zeigler led the team with a 12th-place finish in her season debut. They’ll compete at the SEC Cross Country Championship on November 1.
