🔺 Double Down. South Carolina’s Joyce Edwards and Ta’Niya Latson earned Preseason All-SEC First-Team honors from the league’s coaches. The Gamecocks, picked to finish second in the league, return seven letterwinners, including two starters from last season’s NCAA Runner-Up team.

🔺 Legend Of The League. South Carolina’s winningest quarterback Connor Shaw is part of the 2025 SEC Football Legends Class. The class, including 16 former stars, will be honored at the SEC Football “Weekend of Champions” in Atlanta on December 5-6.

🔺 Home Grown. Three former Gamecocks balled out for the Carolina Panthers in week seven of the NFL! Xavier Legette caught a career-high nine passes for a career-high 92 yards and a touchdown. Rico Dowdle rushed for 96 yards on 18 carries as he split reps with Chuba Hubbard. Jaycee Horn had two interceptions, he’s tied for second in the NFL with three this season.

🔺 On Repeat. Gamecock cross country’s Salma Elbadra has been named the SEC Women’s Runner of the Week for the second time this season! She won the Crimson Classic, just her second collegiate cross country race, as the Gamecocks upset No. 13 Alabama. The cross country team jumped to No. 20 in this week’s USTFCCCA Poll, the highest ranking in program history.
