Tailgate Talks: A.J. McCarron — It’s Bama week, so of course we had to throw it back to 2010! What better way to relive the takedown of the Tide than hearing a new perspective of that memorable day in Columbia? A.J. McCarron is one of the most decorated college quarterbacks of all time, but before all the accolades, he was a part of the biggest win in Willy-B’s history.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Sweet Home Carolina. Gamecock football remains home to host No. 4 Alabama in the Homecoming game. Kickoff is set for 3:45 p.m. on ABC. Gamecock Village presented by Farm Bureau Insurance will open at 11 a.m. with the team walking through Gamecock Park around 1:45 p.m. The Jersey Mike’s College Tailgate Tour will be in Gamecock Village with free sub samples, swag, and more.

🧐 Know Before You Go

🔺 First Look. Get a first look at the 2025-26 Gamecock women’s basketball team tonight! They’ll host Anderson in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. The game is free with general admission seating in all sections, except selected marked seats reserved for team use. This is one of two exhibition games the second-ranked Gamecocks will play before starting the regular season.

🔺 Headed West. The South Carolina volleyball team will head west to face Missouri and Vanderbilt this weekend. The Gamecocks will play at Missouri tonight at 7 p.m. and Vanderbilt on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both games will be streamed on SEC Network+.

🔺 One More Time. The 17th-ranked women’s soccer team will close out the regular season on Sunday! They’ll host No. 10 Vanderbilt in a top-25 matchup at 3 p.m. Sunday’s match will air on the SEC Network.

🔺 Top-10 Doubleheader. No. 2 South Carolina equestrian will face No. 1 Georgia and No. 9 UC Davis in a top-10 doubleheader this weekend. The Gamecocks are coming off a win against No. 4 Texas A&M and are looking to continue strong performances on the road.
