📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Good Look. The second-ranked South Carolina women’s basketball team defeated the Anderson Trojans 112-31 in an exhibition game on Friday night. Joyce Edwards led the Gamecocks with 27 points, while Madina Okot recorded a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. South Carolina dominated the game, outscoring Anderson in every quarter and outrebounding them 61-28.

🔺 Came Close. No. 4 Alabama defeated South Carolina 29-22, rallying in the fourth quarter. LaNorris Sellers threw for 222 yards and a touchdown, plus ran for 67 yards and a touchdown. The Gamecocks will travel to No. 8 Ole Miss next weekend.

🔺 Successful First Meeting. Gamecock volleyball defeated Vanderbilt 3-1 in their first-ever meeting with each other. Three Gamecocks had double digit kills as Nia Hall led the team with 14. South Carolina will host Auburn on Wednesday.

🔺 Practice Makes Perfect. NC State hit a game-winning 3-pointer to defeat Gamecock men’s basketball 88-86 in last night’s exhibition. Eli Ellis led all scorers with 23 points off the bench, hitting five 3s for South Carolina. Meechie Johnson added 20 points and three 3s. The Gamecocks will open the season on Nov. 4 against NC A&T.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The 17th-ranked women’s soccer team fell to No. 10 Vanderbilt 1-0 to close out the regular season. The Gamecocks will play in the SEC Tournament in Pensacola, Fl. next week.
