Rocky Top goes down in Willy-B again! The Gamecocks staged a late comeback for the ages to make it two straight conference wins over ranked opponents. It was a picturesque afternoon for football in Columbia that ended in a midfield party to remember.

🔺 Great Again. Gamecock quarterback LaNorris Sellers earned another Davey O’Brien Great 8 selection after accounting for 306 yards and three touchdowns against Tennessee. It’s his second selection this season and third of his career. Sellers now has 18 career games with at least 250 yards of total offense, the most by a Gamecock dating back to 1995.

🔺 Triple Threat. Gamecock senior Tessa Johnson is one of 20 players on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year preseason watch list. She shot 44.8% from beyond the arc last season, with her 90 made threes ranking third in South Carolina’s single-season history. Fans can help support her award push when voting opens Friday.

🔺 Sorin High. Gamecock great Bert Sorin didn’t arrive at South Carolina planning to become a college athlete. An unexpected encounter in the weight room led him to track practice and eventually to a scholarship, four All-America honors, and an SEC championship. Now the former walk-on and Sorinex president is preparing to enter South Carolina’s Athletics Hall of Fame on Nov. 5.

🔺 Time Together. South Carolina will host Texas A&M on Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. on ESPN. The Gamecocks have won the last two home meetings with the Aggies, including the 44-20 win in 2024. First comes Saturday’s trip to Oklahoma at 4:15 p.m. on SEC Network.
