🤙 And much more!

Rocky Top goes down in Willy-B again! The Gamecocks staged a late comeback for the ages to make it two straight conference wins over ranked opponents. It was a picturesque afternoon for football in Columbia that ended in a midfield party to remember.

🔺 Eyes On Us. With tip-off just four days away, South Carolina women’s hoops standout Joyce Edwards was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Watch List this week.

The honor comes after earlier this month she was a unanimous choice for Preseason All-SEC First Team by the league’s coaches. She enters her junior year as just the third player in program history to earn All-America honors in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

🔺 Paving The Way. Fifth-year offensive lineman Nolan Hay was selected as the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) for his effort in helping lead South Carolina to a 27-24 win over No. 11/11 Tennessee this past Saturday, the team’s second consecutive top-25 victory.

Hay started at center on Saturday for the Gamecocks for the second straight game going up against one of the top defensive fronts in the country. He blocked for an offense that racked up 344 total yards (210 passing, 134 rushing) and averaged 5.5 yards per play, which was a season-best against the Vols’ defense.

🔺 Diamond Days Ahead. With possible rain in the forecast on Sunday, the University of South Carolina baseball team will now play Duke in its fourth fall game against outside competition on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m.

The Gamecocks and Blue Devils will play 14 innings at Fifth Third Park. It will be the final fall game against outside competition for Carolina.

Former Gamecock Nick Muse caught his first career NFL TD this past Sunday in Atlanta’s upset victory over the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.

In three seasons at South Carolina, how many TD catches did Muse have with the Gamecocks?
