📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Winner, Winner. The men’s basketball team took down Wooster 86-60 in last night’s exhibition game. Collin Murray-Boyles led South Carolina with 19 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Arden Conyers and Cam Scott scored 16 points a piece. The regular season will begin on Monday when they host North Florida at 7 p.m.

🔺 Regular Season Finale. The 14th-ranked women’s soccer team closed out the regular season last night. They fell to No. 2 Mississippi State, 2-1. Cat Barry scored the Gamecock goal in the 10th minute. She leads the SEC with 13 goals this season. Up next is the SEC Tournament in Pensacola, Florida. They’ll face the winner of Vanderbilt vs. Alabama on Tuesday.

🔺 Back-To-Back. For the second-straight week, Sophie Verzyl has been named the SEC Diver of the Week. She picked up three wins last weekend at No. 16 Duke and No. 21 North Carolina. She set the new pool record at Duke, after winning the 3-meter with a 390.53 score.

🔺 In The Hunt. Gamecock safety Nick Emmanwori has been named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award! The award goes to the best defensive back in college football based on performance on the field, athletic ability, and character. He leads the SEC and is tied for fifth in the nation with four interceptions. He’s also one of three players in the country with two pick-sixes.

🤔 GAMECOCK TRIVIA

The Governors of South Carolina and Texas pass a trophy back-and-forth to the winners of South Carolina vs. Texas A&M. After two weeks, it returns to The Alamo.
