Tailgate Talks: Melvin Ingram - One of the most athletic and versatile players to ever wear the "Block C," Melvin Ingram was an absolute force on the Gamecocks' defensive front. After a 12-year (and counting) NFL career, Ingram amassed 80 sacks between college and the pros. Now, fresh off his induction into the University of South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame, he's joining us on Tailgate Talks to relive it all.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 It’s A Celebration. The top-ranked women’s basketball team is finally playing at home! The Gamecocks will host Coppin State tonight at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.; there will be a 2024 National Championship banner ornament giveaway as we celebrate the title! The banner will be unveiled 10 minutes before the tip. Dawn’s Day Care will be open in the McGuire Club. Fans at home can stream the game on SEC Network+.

🔺 Hard Fought Win. Gamecock volleyball went to Baton Rouge to get their first win at LSU since 2016! It didn’t come easy, as the Gamecocks got the win in five back-and-forth sets. Riley Whitesides recorded a double-double with 30 kills and 13 digs. South Carolina will play at Alabama on Friday night.

🔺 Double Trouble. Two Gamecocks earned SEC honors this week! Sophie Verzyl was named Female Diver of the Week for the third-straight week. She won both of her events at UNCW on Friday. Ryan Turner was named SEC Male Freshman of the Week, the first honor for the swimming program this season. He took second in the 1000 free against Queens University of Charlotte on Friday. He also finished third in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 fly.
