Tailgate Talks - Pharoh Cooper. Another recent South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame inductee joins the guys on the tailgate! This time it's one of the most electric players in Gamecock history, Pharoh Cooper. The do-it-all athlete was a dominant playmaker with the ball in his hands and turned his success into a seven year NFL career. From position changes and setting records to All-American and Pro-Bowl seasons, join us as we catch up with another South Carolina legend.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Palmetto Pride. The top-ranked women’s basketball team will play their edition of the Palmetto Series presented by South Carolina Education Lottery at Clemson tonight! Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN2. Last season, the Gamecocks won by nearly 70 points. A win would be the 43rd in a row for the Gamecocks, breaking the program record for a winning streak.

🔺 Record-Setter. Volleyball’s Victoria Harris was named the SEC Freshman of the Week! She had a career night, recording 27 digs — the most in a single game by any Gamecock freshman in the rally-scoring era. She also became the program record holder for most digs by a freshman in a season with 334.

🔺 Splitting Up. The swimming and diving teams are splitting up this week for their respective midseason meets. The swim team will host the third annual Gamecock Invitational with North Carolina, UNCW, Tampa, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Milligan, Carson-Newman, North Florida, and Georgia Southern. The dive squad will travel to the UGA Fall Invitational to take on Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Georgia Southern. Both events will run from today through Friday.

🔺 National Praise. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers continues to bring in national honors this week! In addition to the honors we’ve already told you about, he has been named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week and the Maxwell Award National Player of the Week. Sellers has led the Gamecocks to three-straight nationally-ranked wins.
