🏈 THE STORY

There's a reason we call it "home." No matter how long you've been away, this place welcomes you back like you've never left. Fifteen years after the Gamecocks turned the college football world upside down, the boys are back in town to celebrate taking down the number-one-ranked Crimson Tide in 2010. What better day to relive those memories than a sunny homecoming afternoon?

🔺 Historic Hustle. South Carolina cross country made history at the SEC Championship! The Gamecocks earned a bronze medal finish with 130 points, the best finish at the SEC Championship in program history. Salma Elbadra ran the fourth-fastest 6K in Gamecock history as she finished fifth overall. It was the best individual finish by a South Carolina runner at the meet. Her placement earned her First Team All-SEC honors and SEC All-Freshman. Teresa Cherotich earned Third Team All-SEC honors with her 21st-place finish.

🔺 Later, Gators. Gamecock volleyball downed No. 25 Florida 3-1 to earn their first SEC home win and second upset of the season. The Gamecocks have beaten the Gators in the last three matchups. Ava Leahy and Alayna Johnson led the offense with 10 kills each.

🔺 Road Struggles. No. 7 Ole Miss defeated South Carolina 30-14, with the Rebels’ defense sacking LaNorris Sellers six times. Sellers passed for 180 yards, including a 47-yard strike to Nyck Harbor for a touchdown. Sellers also rushed for another Gamecock touchdown. South Carolina will have a bye this weekend.

🔺 Await Our Fate. The No. 22 Gamecock women’s soccer team lost to Alabama 2-0 in the first round of the 2025 SEC Tournament. South Carolina will await their NCAA Tournament fate, announced on November 10th.
