🔺 Storms A-Brewin’. Gamecock Nation showed up and showed out on Saturday night, all 80,298 of you! The crowd was heard on the field, through the television, and probably through all of Columbia. That crowd gave South Carolina a major home-field advantage to take down No. 10 Texas A&M, 44-20. LaNorris Sellers was making video game moves, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown and throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Simon hauled in both of the touchdowns through the air. Rocket Sanders was flying through the Aggie defense, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Gamecock defense recorded an interception, a fumble, and three sacks.

🔺 Big Four. There were four Gamecocks who received All-SEC soccer honors! Katie Shea Collins earned All-SEC Freshman and Second Team honors as she has had a breakout rookie season. Cat Barry and Gracie Falla landed All-SEC First Team honors, and Hallie Meadows earned Third Team honors. The Gamecocks will play in the SEC Tournament tomorrow.

🔺 Sweeping Saturday. The men’s tennis team swept all three doubles matches in finals at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational! Connor Thomson & Casey Hoole, Max Stenzer & Atakan Karahan, and Jelani Sarr & Lucas Andrade da Silva each won their doubles matches.

🔺 Sunday Sweep. The volleyball team swept Tennessee to close out their home stand with a win! Ellie Ruprich reached 500 career blocks after a set-clinching stop, becoming the third woman to do so in program history. The Gamecocks took the 5-1 advantage in aces. They move to 4-0 on Sundays in conference play.

🔺 Talkin’ Ball. Gamecock basketball honors continue to roll in as we get ready to start the seasons tonight.

On the men’s side, Collin Murray-Boyles was named a Preseason All-SEC Third Team selection by the coaches. They’ll begin the season tonight at home against North Florida at 7 p.m.

The top-ranked women’s team starts their road to defending the national title tonight in Las Vegas. They’ll take on Michigan as part of the Hall of Fame Series at 7:30 p.m. on TNT. Sakima Walker was named to the Lisa Leslie Award preseason watch list, recognizing the top center in the nation. Sania Feagin landed on the Katrina McClain Award preseason watchlist as one of the top power forwards in women’s college basketball. Maryam Dauda was named to the Cheryl Miller Award watch list, recognizing small forwards.
