Adversity can mean something different for everyone. Seeing tragedy and disaster while growing up in Haiti, Junior Saint Juste’s childhood was marked by hardship. Through every setback, family was his rock, but soccer became his escape. Having to leave his family and country behind, Junior’s dream seemed out of reach — until a chance meeting with Coach Tony Annan changed his life forever.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 From Downtown. Gamecock men’s basketball started the season with a 91-72 win over North Carolina A&T! The Gamecocks made 14 3-pointers, the fourth-most in the Lamont Paris era. Meechie Johnson scored 14 points to go with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. All 12 players who say playing time had at least one assist, led by Eli Ellis with five. They’ll host Southern Miss on Sunday.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The men’s soccer season came to an end last night as the Gamecocks fell to No. 16 West Virginia, 2-1. Ethan Ballek scored the lone South Carolina goal, the 20th of his career. The Gamecocks close the season with a 7-9-2 overall record.
