The Story: Why We Play. A great year for Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks culminated in perhaps the biggest Palmetto Bowl in history. A nine-win regular season, a state championship, a premiere bowl bid. It was all on the line as South Carolina traveled to the upstate, looking to make it back-to-back wins in Memorial Stadium. These games are why we play. Relive the thrilling rivalry showdown, as LaNorris Sellers and Nick Emmanwori share their perspective on the game, and where this program is headed.

🔺 All-American Kids. Two Gamecocks earned AP All-America honors! Nick Emmanwori was named first-team, while Kyle Kennard earned second-team honors. Emmanwori led the Gamecocks with 83 tackles, plus four interceptions and two touchdowns. Kennard recorded 15.5 tackles for loss, including 11.5 sacks.

🔺 For The State. The men’s basketball team will host their edition of the Palmetto Series presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery tonight! No. 25 Clemson will play the Gamecocks at 7 p.m. The first 200 students in attendance will receive a free t-shirt! Fans can purchase $10 upper bowl tickets here. The Palmetto Bowl Trophy will be located in the CLA lobby for fans to take photos with!

🔺 Viva, Las Vegas. The women’s basketball team will return to Las Vegas next year! The Gamecocks were invited to play in the inaugural Players Era Women’s Championship on Thanksgiving week. The tournament will also include UCLA, Duke, and Texas. This is an opportunity for student-athletes to engage in at least $1 million of NIL activities for Players Era and its sponsors outside of competition.
