Tailgate Talks: Shawn Elliott. Wrapping up his first season back at Carolina, Coach Shawn Elliott joins the tailgate to catch up with a couple of his former players from his first stint in Columbia. The guys discuss Elliott's coaching journey, reminisce on their time together, and look ahead to the future of Gamecock football.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Lunch At CLA. The second-ranked women’s basketball team will play one more game before the holidays! They’ll host Charleston Southern at noon today. The Gamecock defense has been locked down since the lone loss to No. 5 UCLA, allowing just 54.2 points per game.

🔺 Keep ‘Em Coming. Head football coach Shane Beamer has been named a semifinalist for the George Munger Award, recognizing college football’s Coach of the Year. Beamer’s 2024 squad earned nine regular-season wins, including four against ranked opponents, and will finish the season with their highest ranking since 2013.

🔺 Schedule’s Set. The 2025 women’s tennis schedule is here! The Gamecocks will open the season with a doubleheader on January 19. They’ll meet rival Clemson on February 11 and begin SEC play shortly after. The team will compete in 20 regular season dual matches, including two doubleheaders, before the SEC Championship in April.

🔺 Gamecocks & Chill. Netflix announced production on a season-long series following college football’s most dominant conference, the SEC. South Carolina will be highlighted in this series that follows the 2024 season. It’s expected to premiere in Summer 2025.
