🔺 Gamecock State. Gamecock football proved whose state this is on Saturday when they defeated No. 12 Clemson 17-14. LaNorris Sellers rushed for a 20-yard touchdown with a little over a minute remaining to take the lead and ultimately win the Palmetto Bowl, presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery. He forced 18 missed tackles against the Tigers. Demetrius Knight Jr. sealed the win by intercepting Clemson’s Cade Klubnik on the 18-yard line with 16 seconds remaining. South Carolina gives the College Football Playoff committee plenty to consider this week.

📈 The Gamecocks move to No. 13 in the AP Poll.

🔺 Won The Weekend. The women’s basketball team dominated the Fort Myers Tipoff. On Thanksgiving, they defeated No. 15 Iowa State 76-36. The Gamecocks went on an impressive 32-0 run in the first half, holding the Cyclones scoreless for nearly 15 minutes. On Saturday, they defeated Purdue 99-51. They outscored the Boilermakers 30-6 in the second quarter.

🔜 The Gamecocks will host No. 13 Duke on Thursday.

🔺 We’re In. Gamecock volleyball stays alive! They booked their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament under Tom Mendoza. They’ll play Dayton in Waco, Texas in the first round on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Flyers are 26-2 overall, coming off a loss in the A10 Conference tournament.
