Tailgate Talks: Shawn Elliott. Wrapping up his first season back at Carolina, Coach Shawn Elliott joins the tailgate to catch up with a couple of his former players from his first stint in Columbia. The guys discuss Elliott's coaching journey, reminisce on their time together, and look ahead to the future of Gamecock football.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Streak Continues. The men’s basketball team extended their winning streak to six before Christmas break! They defeated Radford 74-48 yesterday. Jamari Thomas sunk four three-pointers, finishing the game with 18 points. The Gamecocks were 25 of 27 at the free-throw line. They’ll return to CLA on December 30, hosting Presbyterian at 7 p.m.

🔺 One To Remember. The 2024 volleyball season came to an end in the NCAA Tournament earlier this month. Check out this recap of the season!

🔺 Music City Bound. Men’s soccer player Ethan Ballek was drafted by Nashville Soccer Club in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft! He was the sixth pick of the third round, No. 66 overall. He was named All-Region Second Team, Sun Belt All-Conference Second Team, and Academic All-America Second Team in his first season at South Carolina.

🔺 Biggar Things. Men’s soccer player Jonah Biggar was also drafted in the MLS SuperDraft! He was selected by D.C. United in the third round at No. 70 overall. He is the second player in Gamecock history to be taken by D.C. United. He played 1,390 minutes on the field, the second most by a Gamecock this season.
