🔺 Season Opener Set. Gamecock football will open the 2026 football season against Kent State on Sept. 5 at Williams-Brice Stadium. This will be the second meeting between the two teams, with the Gamecocks winning the first in 1995.

🔺 Bright Future. South Carolina pitcher Jake McCoy was named in the Top 100 on the MLB Draft Prospects List! The left-hander recorded a 7.11 ERA in his first two seasons at South Carolina. He had a dominant summer in the Cape Cod League, striking out 25 of the 54 Cape batters he faced.
