Forever to Thee: The Ray Tanner Legacy: Twenty-nine years at the University of South Carolina. Two national championships as a head coach, and several more as the athletics director. Three national coach of the year awards, twenty-one NCAA Tournament appearances, and the list goes on. Ray Tanner will be remembered at USC forever for his accomplishments and accolades as a coach and administrator, but that only scratches the surface of the impact he's made on this school and community. His legacy goes much deeper.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Chomped ‘Em. The fourth-ranked women’s basketball team beat Florida in a 101-63 blowout last night. Joyce Edwards scored a career-high 28 points. Te’Hina Paopao finished the game with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Gamecocks will host No. 7 UConn on Sunday at 1 p.m. on ABC. ESPN’s College GameDay will be in attendance with a two-hour show starting at 11 a.m.

🔺 Isn’t It Lovely. Baseball season is finally here! Fitting for the Valentine’s Day theme, the Gamecocks will host Sacred Heart this weekend. They’ll start the season today at 4 p.m.; the first 1,000 fans will receive free rally towels! Tomorrow’s first pitch is set for 2 p.m., but get there early for the Field Dedication Ceremony. The first 5,000 fans will receive Ray Tanner Field Koozies and the first 2,500 will get a Ray Tanner Commemorative Card. The weekend will wrap up on Sunday at noon with Coach Shane Beamer throwing the first pitch. All three games can be seen on SEC Network+.

🔺 Ruled The Roost. Gamecock softball dominantly started the Carolina Classic! They run-ruled Georgia State 13-0 last night. Quincee Lilio led the Gamecocks going 3-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored. Kadie Becker earned the win, while Sam Gress earned the save. South Carolina scored 10 runs in the fourth inning.

They’ll rematch the Panthers today at 3:30 p.m. and play Miami (OH) 30 minutes after.

🔺 Enemy Territory. The track & field team is headed upstate to compete in the Tiger Paw Invite at Clemson. The two-day meet will begin today at 11 a.m. The Gamecock women are ranked No. 10, entering the USTFCCCA Top 10 for the first time in five years during the indoor season!

🔺 Invite Extended. Gamecock football had 11 players invited to the 2025 NFL Combine! Nick Emmanwori, O’Donnell Fortune, Tonka Hemingway, DeAndre Jules, Kyle Kennard, Demetrius Knight Jr., Bam Martin-Scott, Raheim Sanders, T.J. Sanders, Joshua Simon, and Torricelli Simpkins III all received invitations. The combine begins on February 24 and will air on NFL Network on February 27.
