🎙 TAILGATE TALKS

He's a big dude with a bigger personality who left a huge impact on his teammates. Wesley Saunders was highly recruited out of high school and made some massive plays for the Gamecocks, but similar to his quarterback, his time in college was cut short.

Three key members of the 2007 recruiting class get together to chop it up about the dorm-room days, reminisce about those incredibly talented Spurrier teams, and open up about a couple of painful early exits.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Monday Night Live. The third-ranked South Carolina women’s hoops squad looks to finish off its’ recent road trip with a Monday Night battle with the Aggies of Texas A&M.

The Gamecocks will look to continue to lean on its potent offensive attack, which enters tonight’s matchup averaging 88.7 points per game, which is good for fourth in the country.

Tip time in College Station is set for 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

🔺 BIG TIME. One of the biggest parts of game day in Gamecock Country is the famous Carolina Band.

On Friday, they received HUGE news as they were selected by Metallica as the Grand Prize winner for a national contest that included the band’s legendary music.

As this year’s winner, they will have the opportunity to record BOTH a Metallica song AND the EA Sports College Football Theme Song to be included in the video game!

🔺 The Hall Call. It’s a call they won’t ever forget.

On Saturday night a pair of Gamecock alumni earned the privilege of hearing their names called as they were inducted into the North Carolina High School Track & Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame.

Gamecock greats, Isaiah Moore and Demetria (Washington) Davis, were among the seven names inducted on Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

🔺 Ridin’ High. A swing through Texas saw the #3 South Carolina equestrian squad drop two tough battles with #5 Texas A&M and #6, but the Gamecock twins Sarah and Grace Rabb swept the Jumping Seat MOPs in both matchups to highlight the trip.
