📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Horns Go Down. The men’s basketball team got in the conference win column on Saturday! They beat Texas 84-69 to snap a 13-game losing streak. The Gamecocks dominated both halves, going into the break with a 40-22 lead. Collin Murray-Boyles recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. South Carolina hit 34 free throws, a new high in the Lamont Paris era. They’ll play at No. 15 Missouri tomorrow night. The Tigers are coming off a loss to Arkansas.

🔺 Break Out The Brooms. Gamecock baseball swept Milwaukee over the weekend! They started things off with a 5-2 win on Friday. Jase Woita hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to take it away, while Tyler Pitzer struck out eight in relief. The winning continued with a 6-3 victory on Saturday. Matthew Becker struck out eight in 6.1 innings. The Gamecocks run-ruled them 14-4 on Sunday to close out the weekend. Brendan Sweeney is now leading the SEC with three saves.

🔺 History In The Making. The 21st-ranked softball team stayed undefeated after winning all four games of the Garnet & Black Invitational. They run-ruled Boston U twice and Fordham once before coming behind to defeat UNLV 9-4. They went on a nine-game run-rule streak before beating UNLV in a full seven innings.

🔺 All Cylinders. Gamecock women’s basketball took down Vanderbilt 82-54 on the road! Everybody contributed, led by MiLaysia Fulwiley with 24 points. Joyce Edwards recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. The Gamecock bench scored 56 points, outscoring their opponent for the ninth time this season. They’ll play at Ole Miss on Thursday.

🔺 Upset Season. The men’s tennis team began SEC play with a bang! They upset No. 19 Alabama in a 4-1 win. The Gamecocks clinched the doubles point and the rest was history. Connor Thomson and Lucas da Silva beat the No. 41 pair in the NCAA. The Gamecocks will host No. 35 Auburn today at 1 p.m.

🔺 Historic Finish. The women’s swimming & diving team finished the SEC Championships with a top-five finish! They placed fifth with 635.5 points, tying for the highest finish in program history. They had two podium finishes and 43 top 24 finishes. Select Gamecocks will head to Athens on March 1-2 for the UGA Last Chance Invitational in an attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
