Just a kid from Cleveland, Ohio trying to make his family and city proud. Meechie Johnson has had one of the most unique college careers you’ll see. From playing for his hometown team to leaving for South Carolina… twice.

🔺 Sticking Around. South Carolina men’s basketball stays home, looking to capitalize on a win over Mississippi State. They’ll host Kentucky tonight at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Wildcats are coming off a loss to Auburn.

🔺 Where There’s A Will… South Carolina baseball’s Will Craddock was named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week! He went 8-for-15 with nine runs scored, two doubles, a triple, two home runs, two walks, and six RBIs as the Gamecocks picked up four wins last week.

🔺 Dominant Dives. The South Carolina swimming and diving teams concluded the 2026 SEC Championships over the weekend. Sophie Verzyl was named Female Diver of the Meet as she became a three-time SEC Champion. The women’s team finished sixth and the men’s team finished eleventh.
