Tailgate Talks - Christian Walker — He became a Gamecock legend in 2010, and now ranks among the top first basemen in the game of baseball 15 years later. Christian Walker, fresh off a new contract with the Houston Astros, has just about seen it all in his baseball career. 🔺 Late Night Hoops. The sixth-ranked women’s basketball team is playing its final SEC regular-season road trip tonight! They play Ole Miss at 9 p.m. on ESPN. The Gamecock defense has allowed just 57.1 points per game this season. They’re fifth in the country in field goal percentage defense.

🔺 All About Community. Women’s basketball’s Sania Feagin has been named to the SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team for the second time in her career! She’s the first to volunteer for opportunities to serve her community. She has worked closely with the Children’s Hospital, participating in Sandstorm Buddies. She also participates in several projects around the holidays.

🔺 Chasing A Championship. The track & field team is competing at the SEC Indoor Championships this week! The meet is hosted by Texas A&M this year. Last year, the men’s team finished fourth, while JaMeesia Ford took the program’s first gold medal in the women’s 200m. The meet will run today through Saturday.

🔺 Ruling The Courts. Two Gamecock tennis players earned SEC honors! Connor Thomson was named the Men’s SEC Player of the Week after remaining undefeated in conference play in singles and doubles. Sarah Hamner was named the Women’s Co-Player of the Week! She provided the Gamecocks with a singles and doubles win over the No. 1 team in the country, Georgia.
