Tailgate Talks: Michael Roth - Get ready for a series of star-studded Gamecock baseball guests joining the tailgate! Stephen Garcia and Patrick DiMarco may have made their names on the gridiron, but they just happen to be classmates with some of the biggest names in South Carolina baseball history. Up first is a guy that toed the rubber under the brightest lights time and again: Michael Roth. Stay tuned for episodes with Christian Walker and Ray Tanner in the coming weeks!

COMING SOON: The Follow: Gamecock Baseball - Season 3 - The Gamecocks+ docuseries, "The Follow," is returning for a third season with Gamecock baseball as the Paul Mainieri era gets underway. Let us take you inside the program all season long as the legendary coach tries to lead the Gamecocks back to Omaha in his first season in Columbia. Episode one is set to premiere this month!

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Defensive Dub. The second-ranked women’s basketball team dominated Georgia 74-42 on the road last night! The Gamecock defense held the Bulldogs to just one field goal in the second quarter. MiLaysia Fulwiley led the team with 13 points. Sania Feagin dominated the glass, grabbing a team-high nine rebounds. The Gamecocks stay on the road for a top-five matchup with No. 4 Texas on Sunday at 2 p.m. on ESPN.

🔺 Walk It Out. Gamecock softball started the Ashley Chastain era in dramatic, in the best way, fashion! They entered the seventh inning down four runs, but defeated Virginia 7-6 for a walk-off win. Quincee Lilio went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and a walk. Abigail Knight also went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jori Head earned the win in relief after throwing four innings and striking out six.

The two will play again today at 2:30 p.m. Tomorrow, the Gamecocks will play Providence at 3:30 p.m. and St. Francis at 6 p.m. They’ll finish the weekend on Sunday against East Carolina at 3 p.m. All South Carolina games this weekend will stream on SEC Network+.

🔺 Built Ford Fast. Gamecock track & field runner JaMeesia Ford was named to the updated Bowerman Watch List! She’s won two individual races this season in the 300m and 400m. She has also been part of two 4×400m relay winning teams.

The Gamecocks are back in action this weekend! A group of distance athletes will compete at the Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University, while others head to the East Coast Invitational in Virginia.

🔺 Palmetto Nights. The 17th-ranked men’s tennis team will play at Clemson tonight at 5 p.m. as part of the 2024-25 Palmetto Series! The Gamecocks enter the match riding a three-game win streak. The Tigers are currently undefeated in dual matches with a 5-0 record.

🔺 Bluegrass Basketball. The men’s basketball team will play at No. 14 Kentucky tomorrow at noon on ESPN2. Lamont Paris became the third head coach in program history to win at Kentucky in 2023 when South Carolina downed the Wildcats 71-68. They’ll look for a similar result at Rupp Arena tomorrow.
