🥎 GAMECOCKS UNTOLD

A state champion and all-state selection as a freshman in high school, Arianna Rodi was destined for big things on the diamond from a young age. Carolina's single-season home run queen has already left her mark in the Garnet & Black, but the success hasn't come without challenges. Now, alongside a coaching staff that's helped mold her into one of the top first basemen in the country, it's all eyes forward on making her senior year one to remember.

🔺 Down Goes No. 1. The sixth-ranked Gamecock equestrian team knocked off No. 1 Auburn, 10-9! South Carolina beat Auburn in Horsemanship 5-0 for their first-ever sweep over the Tigers in the event. South Carolina will host Georgia for Equifest on Feb. 14.

🔺 Dominant Dub. The third-ranked women’s basketball team beat No. 19 Tennessee 93-50 yesterday! Ta’Niya Latson scored 21 points, while Joyce Edwards added 20. This marked South Carolina’s ninth-straight win over the Lady Vols.

🔺 Weekend Roundup. The 12th-ranked Gamecock softball team went 3-2 at the Gamecock Invitational to start the season. South Carolina run-ruled Syracuse 15-2 on Friday. On Saturday, the Gamecocks took their second loss to No. 19 Virginia Tech, 8-5. They closed the weekend strong with two run-rule victories over Binghamton and Winthrop.

🔺 Great Eight. South Carolina track & field concluded the Carolina Classic with eight overall wins. On the final day, the women’s team secured two wins, with Teresa Cherotich ranking 10th in program history in the mile and Tristen Harris jumping into fourth in program history in the long jump. The men’s team also had two wins, with Josiah Wrice claiming first in the 200m and Logan Montgomery winning the shot put.
