From an international beach volleyball star to the head coach of your South Carolina Gamecocks, Jose Loiola's path to Columbia is a fascinating story. The new leader of USC's youngest varsity sport sits down with Brad Muller to talk about his journey, what he's learned as a new head coach, and his expectations for the program.

The Gamecock Club is participating in Give 4 Garnet, the University of South Carolina’s annual day of giving, to support the Beyond Sports Internship Program. Donations will be matched by Tommy and Pat Hickman during a power hour on March 25 at 1:00 p.m. Give 4 Garnet will take place from March 25 at 5:59 a.m. through March 26 at 2 p.m.

🔺 Anotha One. South Carolina sophomore Joyce Edwards was named to The Sporting News All-America Second Team, joining The Athletic, ESPN, and USA Today. The Gamecocks’ leading scorer ranks fourth in the SEC in scoring and leads the team with 19 20-point games.

🔺 Like Coach, Like Player. South Carolina senior Raven Johnson is a finalist for The Dawn Staley Award, recognizing her ball handling, scoring, and playmaking abilities. Johnson is ranked highly in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. She earned All-America honorable mention from USA Today and 2026 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
