🎥 THE FOLLOW

The Follow: Winding Up (S.3 Ep.2) - Minus the sting of a hard-fought rivalry series, it was a largely successful non-conference slate to kick off the Paul Mainieri era. Now the real season begins. SEC play is here. With the conference making up nearly half of the top-25 rankings, it's time to show what we're made of. One thing is for sure: if the Gamecocks plan to make a postseason run, the weekend rotation will have to be its best on the biggest stage.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Ready To Dance. For the fifth-straight season, Gamecock women’s basketball has earned an NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed! They’ll host first- and second-round games at Colonial Life Arena this weekend. First, they’ll play No. 16-seed Tennessee Tech on Friday.

🔺 Took A Shot. South Carolina track & field concluded the indoor season at the NCAA Indoor Championship, with the men’s shot put team earning 13 points and the women’s team scoring 12 points. Standout performances included CJ Licata and Dylan Targgart’s second and fourth-place finishes in the men’s shot put, earning them First Team All-American honors, and JaMeesia Ford’s third-place finish in the women’s 200m sprint, securing her second consecutive First Team All-American honor. The team will now transition to the outdoor season, hosting the Weems Baskin Invitational on March 22nd.

🔺 Dog Fight. The ninth-ranked softball team picked up their first SEC series win of the season! They took two from No. 13 Georgia, winning on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s 4-3 win was completed by an Abigail Knight walk-off that brought Arianna Rodi home. They secured the series on Sunday with a 3-2 win. The Carolina offense came alive in the fifth when they scored three runs to take the lead.

🔺 Never-Ending Heartbreaker. The Gamecock baseball team dropped the series to No. 12 Oklahoma with losses on Friday and Sunday. They belted 14 hits in Saturday’s 11-5 win. Sunday’s 6-5 loss went into 10 innings after South Carolina gave up two runs in the ninth. Nathan Hall had hits in all four of last week’s games.

🔺 Boom Go The Gamecocks. The No. 25 South Carolina men’s tennis team defeated No. 18 Oklahoma 6-1 in their first-ever conference match. The Gamecocks secured the doubles point with a thrilling 10-8 tiebreak win and went on to win four singles matches, clinching the victory.
