From an international beach volleyball star to the head coach of your South Carolina Gamecocks, Jose Loiola's path to Columbia is a fascinating story. The new leader of USC's youngest varsity sport sits down with Brad Muller to talk about his journey, what he's learned as a new head coach, and his expectations for the program.

🔺 Go Pro. Sixteen former Gamecock football players participated in South Carolina’s annual Pro Timing Day, showcasing their skills for NFL and CFL scouts. The event included physical measurements, various drills, and individual position drills, with standout performances from Bradley Dunn, Eriq Rice, and Brandon Cisse.

🔺 Dynamic Duo. South Carolina’s Joyce Edwards and Raven Johnson received All-America recognition from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Edwards earned second-team selection, while Johnson was named an honorable mention.

🔺 Gamecocks In Green. The 21st-ranked softball team will host Georgia Southern tonight at 6 p.m. The first 300 fans will receive a green “Lucky to be a Gamecock” t-shirt! Tonight’s game will stream on SEC Network+.

🔺 Chasing Championships. Nine athletes from the South Carolina women’s swimming & diving team will compete at the 2026 NCAA Championship in Atlanta, Georgia today. Amy Riordan leads the team with three individual events, while Sophie Verzyl will represent the diving team. Prelims start at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day, with all sessions streamed live on ESPN+.
