Columbia native, and now a National Champion, Sophie Verzyl sat down with Brad Muller to look back on her journey to collegiate success and talk about Olympic dreams.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Rewriting History. No. 1 seed South Carolina made program history, beating Southern 103-34 on Saturday. It was South Carolina’s largest margin of victory in an NCAA Tournament game and the seventh-largest in tournament history. Joyce Edwards scored 27 points, grabbing eight rebounds, to lead the Gamecocks. South Carolina will host No. 9 seed Southern Cal in the second round tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

🔺 Diving Into Record Books. Gamecock diver Sophie Verzyl won the first women’s 3-meter national title in South Carolina history! She also took silver in the 1-meter dive, earning First Team All-American honors. The South Carolina women’s swimming and diving team finished 19th overall at the 2026 NCAA Championship, their highest finish since 2004.

🔺 Finished Strong. South Carolina baseball downed No. 4 Arkansas 9-4 in the final game of the series. Jake Randolph hit two home runs and Brandon Stone struck out five to get the win. The Gamecocks will play North Carolina tomorrow at Truist Park in Charlotte.
