They downed the Red Raiders 5-2 on Friday as Ella Chancey led the Gamecocks with two RBIs and two runs scored. 🔺 Fun In The Sun. The track & field team opened the 2025 outdoor season with 17 wins at the Weems Baskin Invitational. The men’s team won nine events, including the 200m sprint, 1500m, 5K, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and 4x400m relay. The women’s team won eight events, including the 100m dash, 200m sprint, 1500m, 5K, 100m hurdles, long jump, pole vault, and discus throw.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. Four Gamecock women from the swim & dive team earned All-American honors after competing at the NCAA Championships! Sophie Verzyl earned two honors with an honorable mention finish in the 1-meter and the 3-meter. Amy Riordan earned All-American honorable mention in the 200 back after finishing 15th. Greta Pelzek finished her collegiate career as the highest-finishing Gamecock with an eighth-place finish in the 200 fly, also earning All-American status.
