This time, we dive into the specifics of sports performance training with the 2024 Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year. What all goes into getting a college football team ready for play? 🔺 Simply The Best. Women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley has been named one of four finalists for the Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year! She is the only four-time winner of the award for men’s or women’s basketball. She has won it in the last three seasons.

🔺 Palmetto Pride. It’s time for another round of the Palmetto Series presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery! The 11th-ranked softball team will host Clemson at 6 p.m. The first 200 fans will receive a t-shirt and the first 500 will get a rally towel! Get there early to watch Coach Shane Beamer throw out the first pitch.

🔺 Battle Of The Carolinas. Gamecock baseball will play No. 21 North Carolina at Truist Field in Charlotte! First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on SEC Network+. Brendan Sweeney will get the start on the mound for the Gamecocks. South Carolina has won the last three meetings in Charlotte.

🔺 Fired Up. The Gamecock Club and the Columbia Fireflies have teamed up to bring you USC Night at Segra Park! Watch the Fireflies take on the Carolina Mudcats on April 24 at 7:05 p.m. $5 from every ticket will go to the Gamecock Club! Click here to purchase yours and receive a free Fireflies group hat!

🔺 Sweep Victory. The women’s tennis team swept Arkansas 4-0 on Sunday, securing their fifth conference win. The Gamecocks took the doubles point and swept singles play, with No. 113 Misa Malkin, Helena Buchwald, and Bella Bergkvist Larsson clinching the victory. They’ll hit the road for their next two matches, starting with Mississippi State on Friday.
