Now a three-time SEC champion, Sophie Verzyl is fresh off another huge performance in Knoxville and is ready to make some noise at NCAAs. The Columbia native sat down with Brad Muller to look back at her journey to collegiate success and talk about Olympic dreams.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Tourney Time. The third-ranked women’s basketball team begins SEC Tournament play today! The Gamecocks will play No. 17 Kentucky at noon on ESPN. South Carolina owns the No. 1 seed in the tournament, while the Wildcats hold the nine-seed.

Sophomore Joyce Edwards landed on The Athletic’s All-America Second Team this week. She’s averaging 19.8 points per game and has recorded 18 20-point games this season.

🔺 Two-In-One. South Carolina baseball will host Princeton in a three-game series this weekend. They’ll play a doubleheader tomorrow, starting at 1 p.m. The weekend will conclude on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. All three games will stream on SEC Network+.

🔺 A New Season Begins. SEC play begins for Carolina softball! The 23rd-ranked Gamecocks will host No. 3 Texas today through Sunday, with Sunday’s game airing on the SEC Network. First pitch is tonight at 6 p.m. and the first 150 fans will receive a t-shirt.

🔺 Regular Season Finale. The No. 2 South Carolina equestrian team will host South Dakota State today at 10 a.m. The regular season will conclude tomorrow at noon against Delaware State. The Gamecocks will honor their seniors after tomorrow’s match.
