Now a three-time SEC champion, Sophie Verzyl is fresh off another huge performance in Knoxville and is ready to make some noise at NCAAs. The Columbia native sat down with Brad Muller to look back at her journey to collegiate success and talk about Olympic dreams.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Finished Strong. Gamecock men’s basketball closed the regular season with a 64-61 win over Ole Miss! Meechie Johnson led South Carolina with 17 points and a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer for the win. The Gamecocks will open SEC Tournament play against Oklahoma at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

🔺 Saturday Sweep. Gamecock baseball won the series against Princeton! They took two from the Tigers on Saturday, winning game one 10-7 and game two 4-3. South Carolina saw home runs from Talmadge LeCroy, Logan Sutter, and KJ Scobey. The Gamecocks turned around to run-rule the Tigers 13-1 on Sunday.

🔺 Await Our Fate. No. 3 South Carolina women’s basketball advanced through the SEC Tournament and to the championship game, where they met No. 4 Texas. The powerhouse programs split two games in the regular season, but the Longhorns got the best of the Gamecocks in the championship game, winning 78-61. Joyce Edwards led the Gamecocks with 13 points, while Maddy McDaniel tied a career-high with 10. South Carolina will await its NCAA Tournament fate.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. No. 2 South Carolina equestrian finished the regular season with a 17-3 win over Delaware State, marking its tenth win of the season. The Gamecocks swept the first half in Fences and Horsemanship, and won Flat 5-0, before falling to Delaware State in Reining. The Gamecocks will head to Auburn for the SEC Championship on March 27.
