Tailgate Talks: J.P. Hovey — He might just be one of the most famous Carolina fans on the internet right now. USC alum, current "Bussin' with the Boys" producer, and diehard Gamecock fan, J.P. Hovey joins the tailgate! Stephen and Pat dive into J.P.'s career, how he's always reppin' the Gamecocks, and some wild stories from the Bus.

🔺 Dime A Dozen. Gamecock softball run-ruled Charleston Southern 12-0 last night! Nealy Lamb struck out four Buccaneers across three innings, giving up no hits. Kadie Becker shut the door with a pair of scoreless innings. Gamecocks scattered six extra-base hits across four innings of offense. They’ll head to Arkansas for a top-15 matchup this weekend.

🔺 Sooner Than Later. Gamecock baseball is getting the weekend started early! They’ll play at Texas A&M tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. The weekend continues tomorrow at 7 p.m. and wraps up on Saturday at 3 p.m.

🔺 All-American Girls. Five Gamecocks were named Ariat All-Americans by the NCEA! Natalie Jayne earned first-team honors in flat, Amira Kettaneh earned second-team honors in flat and fences, Mary Hunter Millet earned second-team flat honors, Sophie Mitchell earned flat honorable mention, and Haley Turner earned reining honorable mention. The five honors are the most for South Carolina since the 2019-20 season.

🔺 Honorable Sweep. Two Gamecocks swept SEC men’s tennis honors this week! Connor Thomson earned SEC Player of the Week, while Atakan Karahan was named SEC Freshman of the Week. Thomson went undefeated in singles, while Karahan was undefeated in singles and doubles matches against Tennessee and Georgia, helping the Gamecocks secure ranked victories.
