Tailgate Talks: Brett Griffin — There's a diehard Gamecock fan in just about every industry you can think of, and NASCAR is no different. "Spotter Brett" made a name for himself on the circuit, helping change the game and how spotters are used during a race. Stephen chops it up with his old friend, Brett Griffin, to learn more about the racing industry, his Carolina fandom, and hear some stories from the pit any racing fan will love.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Top Dogs. The fourth-ranked women’s golf team earned the top seed for match play at the SEC Championship for the second-straight season! They shot 824 (-16), a new 54-hole program record and the lowest total by any team in the history of the SEC Championship. Eila Galitsky fired a career-low score of 206 (-4) to finish tied for fifth. Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist tied for seventh.

The Gamecocks will face eight-seed Tennessee in match play today at 8 a.m.

🔺 Game Night. Join us at Founders Park for Wii Sports Night! Gamecock baseball is starting the weekend early, hosting No. 11 Ole Miss tonight at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+. The first 500 fans will receive the Gamecock Wii poster pictured above! Brandon Stone will start on the bump tonight. Wii can’t wait to see you!

🔺 Onto The Next. The 23rd-ranked women’s tennis team defeated Mississippi State 4-2 in the first round of the SEC Tournament! The Gamecocks took the doubles point as Lauren Friedman and Misa Malkin fought through a tie break to clinch the point. They’ll play eight-seeded Texas tonight at 6 p.m.

🔺 Double Trouble. Two Gamecocks earned SEC Track & Field honors this week! JaMeesia Ford earned Women’s Runner of the Week honors after winning both races she competed in at the Gamecock Invite. Josiah Wrice was named the Men’s Freshman of the Week after helping the 4×100m relay team win. He went on to place second in the 400m with a new personal best time of 46.02, the eighth fastest in program history.

The Gamecocks are all split up this weekend. Four throwers will compete at the Tom Jones Invitational today. The distance group will continue to compete at the Wake Forest Invitational, while 21 athletes will compete in Waco, Texas at the Michael Johnson Invitational.
