Tailgate Talks: Brett Griffin — There's a diehard Gamecock fan in just about every industry you can think of, and NASCAR is no different. "Spotter Brett" made a name for himself on the circuit, helping change the game and how spotters are used during a race. Stephen chops it up with his old friend, Brett Griffin, to learn more about the racing industry, his Carolina fandom, and hear some stories from the pit any racing fan will love.
📈 STOCK UP

🔺 We Are The Champions. The fourth-ranked women’s golf team won the SEC Championship! They defeated No. 24 Florida 4.5-0.5 to win the program’s second SEC title. Louise Rydqvist sunk a 60-foot birdie putt on hole 17 to clinch the third and deciding team point.

🔺 Tried For A Title. The No. 13 men’s tennis team advanced all the way to the SEC Championship final! They defeated Florida and Mississippi State before matching up with No. 4 Texas in the title match. The Gamecocks ultimately fell 4-1 on Sunday afternoon, earning the runner-up title for the second time in program history. Connor Thomson and Sean Daryabeigi earned SEC All-Tournament honors.

🔺 Winning Week. Gamecock baseball finished a 3-1 week on Saturday! They took two from No. 11 Ole Miss to get their first SEC series win. The Gamecocks beat the Rebels 7-2 on Friday to clinch the series. Nathan Hall hit his sixth homer of the year, then hit a two-run single to give South Carolina some insurance. Jake McCoy struck out seven in 6.1 innings on the mound.

🔺 Two Down. Gamecock softball took two from Kentucky over the weekend, with a potential sweep awaiting tonight. They defeated the Wildcats in a 14-1 run-rule on Saturday to get things going. Four Gamecocks recorded multiple hits and multiple RBIs. They took the series on Sunday with a much closer 1-0 win. Karley Shelton scored Emily Vinson for the single run of the game. Nealy Lamb and Sam Gress combined for the shutout with Gress earning the win. They’ll play the series finale tonight at 7 p.m. on SEC Network.

🔺 Graceful In Garnet. Garnet defeated Black 10-7 in South Carolina’s annual Garnet & Black Spring Game. Garnet’s Luke Doty threw a touchdown pass to Malik Clark as time expired in the first half, securing the win. There were 36,358 fans at Williams-Brice Stadium under a Carolina sky.
