Tailgate Talks: Brett Griffin — There's a diehard Gamecock fan in just about every industry you can think of, and NASCAR is no different. "Spotter Brett" made a name for himself on the circuit, helping change the game and how spotters are used during a race. Stephen chops it up with his old friend, Brett Griffin, to learn more about the racing industry, his Carolina fandom, and hear some stories from the pit any racing fan will love.

🔺 Walk It Out. Gamecock baseball walked off North Florida last night! KJ Scobey doubled in the bottom of the 10th inning to send home Jordan Carrion and beat UNF 3-2. Nathan Hall blasted a two-run homer in the fifth inning to get the Gamecock scoring started. Next, they’ll head to Kentucky for the weekend.

🔺 Fore A Title. The men’s golf team tees off at the SEC Championship today! Stroke play will be played today through Friday, with the top eight advancing to match play on Saturday. The field features six of the nation’s top eight teams and 10 of the top 20.

🔺 Gone Mad. Women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley announced the signing of Madina Okot! The 6’6 center transfers to South Carolina from Mississippi State. A native of Mumias, Kenya, Okot averaged 11.3 points and a team-high 9.6 rebounds last season. She has international experience playing in the FIBA Africa Women’s Basketball League and for the Kenya FIBA 3×3 Senior Team.

🔺 Perfect Pair. Beach volleyball’s Rachel Hartmann and Riley Whitesides have been named the CCSA Pair of the Week! They went 4-0 over the weekend with a pair of wins over ranked opponents. This is the first CCSA honor for a Gamecock since 2023.
