Tailgate Talks: Whit Merrifield — Where were you for Whit's hit? Every Gamecock fan can answer that question. Next up on the Tailgate is South Carolina baseball legend, Whit Merrifield. A guy who came in the same time as Stephen and Pat, Whit made a name for himself in Columbia before going on to play in the big leagues for nearly a decade.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Shut ‘Em Out. Gamecock softball earned a midweek shutout last night! They defeated Wofford 2-0 during Bark in the Park. Nealy Lamb tossed four innings with five strikeouts, earning the win. The Gamecocks will host No. 19 Ole Miss for Alumnae Weekend this weekend.

🔺 Thursday Night Lights. It’s time for Gamecock Tennis Palooza! The fun begins today when the No. 21 men’s tennis team hosts No. 18 Tennessee at 5 p.m. The first 20 fans will receive a bucket hat!

🔺 Successful Week. All three Gamecock women’s golfers that competed as individuals at the ECU Ironwood Invitational finished in the top-15! Sophia Burnett led the way as she tied for fourth at 1-over. Maylis Lamoure finished tied for ninth at 6-over, and Vairana Heck tied for 12th at 8-over.
