🔺 Gamecock Proud. When it comes to the modern era of college athletics, there is no comparison to the South Carolina women’s hoops program.
For the third time in the past four years and fourth time in the past decade, the Gamecocks fought their way to the NCAA Championship game, dropping a tough 82-59 decision to UConn on Sunday afternoon.
South Carolina wraps up the season as National Runner-Up with a 35-4 record overall.
The 2021 signing class, ranked No. 1 in the nation and led by Sania Feagin and Bree Hall in their final year on eligibility, played in four NCAA Final Fours and three national championship games.

🔺 Turning 30. Most people worry about turning 30 on the birthday calendar.
For the 10th-ranked South Carolina softball squad, they enjoyed getting to 30 as the Gamecocks moved to 30-8 on the year with a hard-fought SEC series victory, taking two-of-three from 19th-ranked Ole Miss.
On Friday, the Gamecocks picked up an extra-inning thriller, 1-0 and followed it up with a 4-2 victory in the rubber match on Sunday to take the series and improve to 30-8 on the season.
🔺 Acing Augusta. While the golf world turns their eyes on Augusta this week, South Carolina star freshman Eila Galitsky has already turning heads down in the Peach State.
The Chiang Mai, Thailand native’s low score tied Bailey Shoemaker last season for the lowest final round in ANWA history in six all-time tournaments.
Her front nine 31 today was the first ever 5-under, nine-hole score at Augusta National Golf Club in the six-year history of the ANWA.
Galitsky’s 54-hole total of 208 (-8) is the lowest by a Gamecock all-time at the ANWA. She joins former All-American Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (T-3rd in 2021 with 2-over total of 218) as the only South Carolina players to record a top-five finish in the event.
