Our thoughts are with former South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer and is undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatment. 🎥 THE STORY

It's possibly the most thankless job in sports, but they're not in it for the glory, the notoriety, or the spotlight. The offensive line is scrutinized far more than it's praised, but to play this position, you have to be built differently. And different is exactly what this 2026 OL room looks like. From veteran transfers and a new coach to experienced returners and soon-to-be fathers, this offensive line is ready to turn the page and set the tone.

📈 STOCK UP

 🔺 Staying Healthy. Executive Associate Athletics Director for Sports Performance and Wellness Clint Haggard received the 2026 Chris Patrick Award from the SEC Sports Medicine Committee. The award recognizes outstanding athletic trainers in the SEC who exemplify the qualities of Chris Patrick, including a tireless work ethic, loyalty, and a passion for student-athlete service. Haggard, the former head football athletic trainer, transitioned into his current role this month.

🔺 Coast To Coast. South Carolina softball earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament! They’ll play in the Los Angeles Regional at UCLA. The Gamecocks earned the No. 7 seed in their quadrant and will play Cal State Fullerton on Friday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

Additionally, pitcher Jori Heard was named All-SEC First Team.

🔺 Gamecock Quartet. Four South Carolina players will compete in two NCAA Regionals starting today. Eila Galitsky and Maylis Lamoure will play at the Louisville Regional, while Vairana Heck and Molly McLean will compete at the Tallahassee Regional.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The men’s tennis season came to an end when the 13th-ranked Gamecocks fell to No. 5 Virginia 4-1 in the NCAA Sweet 16. South Carolina finishes the season with an 18-9 record.
